During law school at Western University, Yicong worked as a research assistant to her professor in Indigenous Law as well as provided research for the United Nations Women’s Project, contributing to their publication “The Reform of Discriminatory Laws: A Transformative Guarantee of Non-Repetition for Gendered Human Rights Violations”. Yicong was also selected by the Canada-U.S. Law Institute to assist with drafting the first international navigation treaty for the Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Seaway.
Yicong summered with Kornfeld LLP before returning as an articling student.
