Yan maintains a general civil litigation practice and has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia.
While in law school at the University of Alberta, Yan served as an editor for the Alberta Law Review, worked as a research assistant for two professors, volunteered for the Student Legal Services of Edmonton and competed in the Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot and the Davies’ Annual Corporate/Securities Law Moot where he won the awards for first place team and top factums. Yan also won the Dean Wilbur Bowker Prize in Tort Law and the Dr Alexander Smith, QC Prize in the Subject of Contracts for highest standing.
Before joining the firm, Yan practiced and articled at a leading litigation boutique in Vancouver and summered with the Workers’ Compensation Board of Alberta.
